December 21, 2006.

I am currently in Spain and it has been 3 months since The Fireworks Channel launched. Some exciting things are happening. As you well know  a great website is one that has great content, information and has be entertaining.

It also needs to create a space for people to interact with the site.  I have added a blog and forums component using the Opera environment for that.

One more great thing, this site can now upload your great fireworks videos.  Very soon I'll be setting up an attractive playlist TV style window where you can select the videos you wish to watch.  All of this is made possible thanks to the folks at Brightcove, a web TV service that will change how people distribute user-produced videos online.

Soon you'll be able to start watching plenty of photos and videos from the pyrotechnics powerhouse which is Malta.  I have discovered several excellent Maltese clubs that combine music, religious piety and fireworks celebrations. The Union Band Malta organization is one that I will featruring soon.

Lastly,  I search the internet for interesting videos to post here. Lucky for me I found a video by Bob Forward at Detonation FIlms that I like.  It gives you a good feel for what is like to attend a pyrotechnics convention.  I have never been to one so I find it very interesting.  Check out the video HERE.
